A special screening of the film Neerja was organised in Delhi on Wednesday for a group of politicians including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas and actor-musician Shekhar Ravjiani.
The special screening of the film took place at the Films Division Auditorium (FDA).
A source stated that the film caught the attention of Mr Kejriwal because of its relevance to the national hero Neerja Bhanot, the stewardess who saved countless lives on the hijacked plane Pan Am Clipper 73.
The Ram Madhvani-directed film features Sonam Kapoor in the lead role. Actress Shabana Azmi plays her mother.
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged, the film opens on Friday.
