Asha Bhonsle disapprovesof the participation of young singers in TV reality shows,saying it does not promote their career prospects.
"There are lots of talented young boys and girls who takepart in TV shows to achieve fame. They dress up, wear make-upand dance while singing. This dancing and dressing up is notrequired for a genuine singer," she said in a mediainteraction here today.
Asha also asked parents not to encourage their childrento participate in TV shows and instead mould them withclassical music training.
"The chances of these young people in TV shows getting anopportunity to sing in films are also less as now a days mostof the music directors also double as play back singers," sheadded.
