The mediapersons, who gathered here to cover the event, too enjoyed Bachchans' hospitality.
From serving water every hour to circulating snacks, Bachchan clan ensured that the journalists were not left unattended. A nice dinner was laid out for them.
This is not the first time that the Bachchans showed their hospitality towards media.
"During Abhishek and Aishwarya's wedding also, Amitabh ensured that media doesn't leave disappointed," said another media professional.
The Indian film industry's biggest stars like Dilip Kumar, Yash Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, and big names from southern film industry like Rajinikanth attended the birthday bash of Amitabh Bachchan, who turns 70 today.
During his hey days, Big B had boycotted media for a few years, but his fans were always welcomed on his movies sets.
Remembering one of such incident, Huma Khan, a fan, said: "My father was transferred to Mumbai (in the 1980s) and we used to go to the movie sets often with our guests. I remember, once we went to Amitabh's movie set. He was shooting in a huge water tank. After the shot, he came out and welcomed us on the set, offered us tea and even clicked pictures with us."
