Atul Agnihotri's next without Salman Khan

Atul Agnihotri's next without Salman Khan
Mumbai: Actor-turned-filmmaker Atul Agnihotri's last three films either as producer or director had brother-in-law Salman Khan, but it will not be the same this time. Atul, who is married to Salman's sister Alvira, is all set for his next home production sans his 'lucky mascot'.

Atul made his directorial debut with Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha (2004) featuring Salman, Preity Zinta and Bhoomika Chawla. The film failed miserably at the box office.

Undeterred by this, he went on to direct and produce Hello (2008), a film based on Chetan Bhagat's novel One Night at a Call Centre, in which Salman did a cameo. Next, Atul returned to production with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard in 2011, which was a smashing hit at the box office.

"We have identified something. We have finalised the script, director and locations. We are trying to get the cast in place. We are in the process of putting together the castand crew. We can't make any statements until and unless everything is finalised," said Atul .

"We can't talk about the star cast, as we are in the process of finalising things. In two months time, everything should be in place. Then we will make an announcement," he said.

Right from his first film, Salman has been a common factor but not this time.

"It (film) is without Salman Khan. We do not have any appearance or anything of such sort, where Salman would be there. Salman is our lucky mascot. He supports all of us. He is always there for the family," Atul said.
