Tariq Anwar, the India-origineditor of the Oscar nominated 'The King's Speech' will receivean award from John Bercow, speaker of the House of Commons.
Bercow will present Anwar the Special Award forAchievement in Film as part of the Asian Voice Public andPolitical Life Awards 2011.
The Awards are held annually to honour people who havemade a special impact in the preceding 12 months. The ceremonywill be held in the Members' Dining Room of the House ofCommons, and will be attended by many high profile figuresfrom the Asian community in the UK.
Other winners include Ed Miliband, Leader of theOpposition as Parliamentarian of the Year, Michael Gove MP,Secretary of State for Education as Cabinet Minister of theYear and Ranjit Mathrani, Community Award.
Indian-origin Labour MP Keith Vaz said: "The BritishAsian community has made a great contribution to our country.

'The King's Speech' is a frontrunner at this year'sOscars with 12 nominations. Anwar is also in the Oscar racealong with Indian musician A R Rahman.
