Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has started growing a beard for his upcoming film Manmarziyan, which will be shot in Punjab from February.
"In Manmarziyan, I am playing a Punjabi. So, I've grown a beard for it. We are going to start shooting in February," said Ayushmann.
"I'm shooting in Punjab for the first time. In Vicky Donor, I played the role of a Punjabi from Delhi. But here, my character is that of a proper Punjabi. There is no ‘Dillipan’ in this. It has full ‘Punjabiyat.’ It is a proper romance from the soil of Punjab," he added.
The film also stars his Dum Laga Ke Haisha co-star Bhumi Pednekar and will be directed by Sameer Sharma, who had previously directed Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. It will be produced by Tanu Weds Manu Returns director Aanand L Rai.
Ayushmann was last seen in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Recently , he released his single Yahin Hoon Main, which has been sung by him. (Also Read: Ayushmann Khurrana 'Owes' His Success to Theatre)
