Baahubali, India's most expensive film, has sped past the 100 crore mark in its opening weekend. The S S Rajamouli-directed film, made at a budget of Rs 250 crores, is a bonafide blockbuster with collections of at least Rs 120 crores worldwide in the three languages it was released in - Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
Box Office India places just the Telugu version of the film's business in India at Rs 65 crores.
International box office receipts total up to almost Rs 30 crores, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh:
The Hindi-speaking audience ensured the dubbed version 'an incredible weekend.':
Baahubali: The Beginning, part one of director Rajamouli's two-part epic, released in 4,000 screens globally in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The film made Rs 50 crores on day one - breaking the opening day record set by Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year.
The film, which stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty, is costlier than Rajinikanth's Enthiran, which is the tenth highest earning Indian film worldwide.
