A brigade of party-loving celebrities from Bollywood descended upon the island of Venice for the destination wedding of London-based industrialist couple Kimi and Pamela Grover's son Ashwin to socialite Riya Khilnani. The highlight of the four-day extravaganza was the marriage ceremony on June 13. The groom's mother is a close friend of many Bollywood stars. (Pics)
Prominent guest included former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi, who is facing a probe into allegations of financial irregularities in the IPL and who posted pictures of the baaratis 'dancing away' in a procession.

The Bollywood roll call was led by actor Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri, actor Amitabh Bachchan's wife Jaya, their daughter Shweta Nanda, Rishi Kapoor's wife Neetu Singh, her sister-in-law Reema Jain, VJ-actress Sophie Choudry, filmmaker Karan Johar and designer Manish Malhotra. Ashwin is the younger son of the Grovers, who are known for their love of an expensive wedding. The 2013 wedding of his elder brother Kunal took place in Cannes and was an equally extravagant affair and was attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Rakesh and Pinky Roshan.
