Aamir Khan at Naina and Kunal's party hosted by Abhishek Bachchan in Mumbai.
New Delhi:
The Bachchan residence in Mumbai was the party destination for the creme de la creme of Bollywood on March 1. The party was in honour of newlyweds Naina Bachchan and actor Kunal Kapoor, who married in a private ceremony on February 9 in Seychelles. Naina is Amitabh Bachchan's niece.
The party, with Naina's cousins Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda playing hosts, was a 'close friends only' affair and was attended by Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Gauri Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and others.
Aamir Khan, who was also spotted at a charity fashion show the same day, was in a simple jeans and black shirt look. The actor, who is currently preparing for his film Dangal, in which he plays the role of a wrestler, was looking slightly bulkier than usual. However, Aamir wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao, compensated fashion-wise in a bling top teamed with denims.
While we failed to spot Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shweta Nanda did hostess honours, looking chic in a yellow bodycon dress. Gauri Khan, who was representing her busy superstar husband Shah Rukh Khan, was dressed in denims and tank top.
While Naina rocked an off shoulder LBD, Kunal looked suave in a jacket.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh came with his wife Genelia D'Souza, who looked pretty in a red suit. Also in red was filmmaker Farah Khan, who thankfully ditched the gloomy dark colours she usually opts for.
Actor Hrithik Roshan and his Dhoom 2 co-star Abhishek Bachchan were casually dressed at the party. While Hrithik paired blue jeans with a white tee, Abhishek opted for cargo-pants and sweatshirt. Abhishek and Kunal co-starred in Pradeep Sarkar's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.
Actress Sonali Bendre, who has shifted base from the big screen to the small, arrived with her husband, producer Goldie Behl.
Actor Imran Khan's wife Avantika wore an electric blue top with pearls.
Also spotted at the party was Reema Jain, who is Shweta's mother-in-law Ritu Nanda's sister.
Actors Sanjay Kapoor and Chunky Pandey and designer Vikram Phadnis were also on the guest list.
