After Amitabh Bachchan disassociated himself with IIFA, son Abhishek and bahu Aishwarya seem to be following in his footsteps.
Abhishek tweeted: "Just to clarify.... Neither Aishwarya nor I will be performing or attending IIFA Toronto. Classic case of jumping the gun!"
Big B has been the brand ambassador for the India International Film Awards since its conception.
But last year, there were some issues between the organisers Wizcraft and him, which led to his decision of not being a part of the award ceremony any longer.
There were rumours that the senior Bachchan was upset with the fact that his family was not invited two years in a row for the awards.
At that time he had tweeted, "We are not coming to IIFA ... IIFA said our services are not required!! It's not me, it's the organizers of IIFA that do not want me in Toronto. Sri Lanka was the same."
So last year's IIFA awards in Sri Lanka was held without any of the Bachchans being a part of it.
With Abhishek's firm tweet, this year won't have any Bachchan glamour on the red carpet either.
