A still from the trailer of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
New Delhi:
'The fever, the rage, that turns good men cruel' begins as Batman and Superman, the world's most powerful heroes, finally come face to face in celluloid history in the thrilling first trailer of their upcoming film Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, the sequel to 2013's Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill.
Superman, played by Henry Cavill is seen as 'corrupt,' having fallen out of favour with public who seem to have lost faith in him after the events in Man of Steel. In one scene, he is told to 'go home.' the term 'False God,' scrawled across his chest. In another, as he hovers in the sky, Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, says, 'Devils don't come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky.'
Ben Affleck, shown dark and brooding as Batman/Bruce Wayne, seems a crusader of sorts. Shooting up the streets in his Batmobile, his only mission seems to be to defeat Superman. 'Tell me, do you bleed? You will,' he growls to the Man of Steel when the two finally meet.
The two superheroes finally come face to face at the end of the trailer and seem to be on the verge of a massive fight - the dark cityscape, thunder and lightening the perfect backdrop to their dramatic showdown.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Returning cast members include Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White. It will hit theatres in March, 2016.
