New Delhi: Blues legend BB King has died in Las Vegas at the age of 89, news agency Associated Press quoted his attorney as saying. (Also Read: 5 Songs by the 'King of Blues' to Listen to Now)
Mr King, known for his classic hits such as Lucille, The Thrill is Gone, You Know I Love You, Woke Up This Morning, Please Love Me and When My Heart Beats like a Hammer, reportedly died in his sleep in Las Vegas.
Just weeks ago, Mr King was discharged from a Vegas hospital where he was being treated for diabetes-related dehydration.

The iconic musician was the recipient of 15 Grammy Awards was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Among his best known hits is When Love Comes to Town, collaboration with Irish band U2.
In 2005, the Mississippi state legislature honoured him with BB King Day.
