Beatles' First Concert Photos To Go Under The Hammer

London: Rare photographs of the Beatles'first ever US concert, will go under the hammer in New Yorkand the pictures of the young 'Fab Four' are expected to fetcharound $100,000.

The black and white images will be auctioned atChristie's next month, reported Contactmusic.The British band made their American TV debut on TheEd Sullivan Show in 1964 and played their first full live gigat Washington Coliseum in Washington DC two days later on 11February.

The occasion was captured on camera by photographerMike Mitchell and he is now selling a series of 50 silverprints, in addition to shots taken at the group's gig at theBaltimore Civic Center in Maryland.

The auction house's pop culture consultant, SimeonLipman admits the pictures will be must-haves for die-hardBeatles fans.

"They're very close-up, very animated. The light isvery interesting. They're very intimate shots," said Lipman.
