Football star David Beckham andhis wife, former 'Spice Girl' Victoria Beckham will rubshoulders with world leaders and blue-bloods at the royalwedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In a decision approved by the Queen and PrinceCharles, the footballer and his wife will be in the guest listof 1,900, reported Daily Mail online.
When the prince, who is president of the FootballAssociation, and Beckham met in South Africa during lastyear's World Cup they had reportedly become fast friends.
Meanwhile Victoria, who is a successful fashiondesigner revealed this month that she is sending a selectionof dresses to the bride-to-be.
The former popstar, who is five months pregnant withthe couple's fourth child, heaped praise on Middleton during apreview of her autumn/winter 2011 line at New York FashionWeek.
"Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to seea selection. I admire her tremendously. She's a beautifulyoung girl, she has a wonderful figure and I think she wearsclothes beautifully," said the 36-year-old.
The Beckhams have been invited to the ceremony onApril 29 and may also have been asked to a lunchtime buffetfor 600 people hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
They will not attend the most exclusive part of theday, a dinner dance for just 300 guests hosted by PrinceCharles.
Sticking with royal protocol, about 200 politicalfigures, including UK Prime Minister David Cameron, his deputyNick Clegg and Labour leader Ed Miliband, and 100 foreignroyals and dignitaries have been asked.
