Teen sensation Justin Bieber willemulate pop star Justin Timberlake's solo career in his nextalbum, according to his co-writer Sean Garret.
The 16-year-old Canadian singer, who is keen toattract wider audience the way Timberlake did launching hissolo career in 2002, is aiming to reach out to olderlisteners, reported Contactmusic.
"What we're trying to do with Justin is to segue himinto young adulthood. The one great thing about Justin Bieberis the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. "So we want all the fans that started out with him tostill be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to alsostretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23years old love Justin as well," said Garret.
"When Justin Timberlake went from the last album of NSync to his first solo album - I want to say we're aiming forthat level. That's the bar for the type of song, that level of'Cry Me a River' big records," said Garret.
Garret, who is presently working on Beyonce Knowles'new album, has also penned hits for singers like Chris Brown,Usher and Ciara.
Songwriter Christopher "tricky" Stewart, who hasproduced chart topping hits for pop stars Britney Spears,Rihanna and Mariah Carey, is also working on Bieber's album.
The 16-year-old singer refuses to be held by a singlegenre of music, saying, "Whatever music I write, I wouldn'tsay I'm pop or R&B or country or anything. I would just sayit's just good music."
