Actor Ben Affleck is teaming with comic book writer Geoff Johns to co-write, direct and star in a standalone Batman movie.
Additional details are still under wraps other than the fact that Ben Affleck will reprise his role of the Caped Crusader, which he will first assume in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then in Justice League.
Warner Bros has not commented on the news yet.
Given how much time and effort goes into directing, it might be a long while before Ben Affleck thinks of writing. He's currently focused on directing Live by Night, based on Dennis Dennis Lehane's Prohibition-era crime novel, off the ground, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Ben is expected to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this weekend at Comic-Con in San Diego.
