Ben Affleck isin talks to direct and star in a thriller Line of Sight.
The 39-year-old actor is set to join the Warner Bros.action project, being produced by Joel Silver and Andrew Rona,The Hollywood Reporter said.
The idea, conceived by Silver Pictures' Alex Heineman ,centers on an elite commando squad transporting cargo whiledealing with a global threat.
One of the conceits of the movie is that it tells thetale from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game.
The script was recently worked on by Peter O'Brien, the manwho wrote the game Halo: Reach for Xbox 360.
Affleck has been moving almost non-stop as a filmmakersince his directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone in 2007. Hisfollow-up, the 2010 crime thriller The Town, grossed $154million worldwide and generated an Oscar nomination forco-star Jeremy Renner.
Affleck has proven himself to be especially adept atmaking thrillers on tight budgets while garnering acclaim forhis actors. The actor is also gearing up to begin productionon his thriller Argo.
The shooting of this drama set during the Iran hostagecrisis has already begun. The movie is being shot in LosAngeles and will also briefly shot in Istanbul, Turkey.
