After the success of 'TheTown', Hollywood actor-director Ben Affleck is in talks tohelm 'Argo', an adaptation of a Wired magazine articlerevolving around the Tehran hostage crisis.
Actor George Clooney and Grant Heslov are producingthe political thriller, which is said to also contain elementsof wry humor.
Written by Joshuah Bearman and published in April2007, the story centers on how, during the occupation of theAmerican embassy by Iranians in 1979, a rescue effort wasmounted by the CIA and the Canadian government to extract sixUS diplomats, the Hollywood Reporter said.
The CIA used a disguise expert and concocted ascenario that involved the six being a Hollywood crew scoutinga movie titled Argo. Under those disguises, they were able toflee the country.
Legendary comics creator Jack Kirby's movie designsand drawings were used by the CIA to sell the existence of themovie.
