Oscar winning actor BenKingsley is reportedly in final talks to play a villain inforthcoming superhero movie Iron Man 3.
The Hugo star is in final negotiations to star in theMarvel Blockbuster as an enemy of Iron Man, which is played byRobert Downey Jr, Variety reported.
Though the exact details of the character are being keptunder wraps, the villain is expected to be involved inspreading a virus through nanobots because the film isbelieved to be loosely based on the 2005 Extremis comicbookseries.
Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films in thefranchise, had previously expressed interest in exploring thecharacter, but he has moved on from the series, with ShaneBlack at the helm of Iron Man 3.
Black is also co-writing the script with Drew Pearce.
Kingsley will next be seen in Paramount's The Dictatorwith Sacha Baron Cohen.
