This is the ultimate fangirl fantasy come true - Sherlock and Mr Darcy fused into one, emerging from a pool in a soaking white shirt.
In a photo shot for a campaign urging people to donate clothes, actor Benedict Cumberbatch recreates a famous swimming scene from the BBC TV series of Pride and Prejudice in which Mr Darcy, played by Colin Firth, takes a dip in a lake.

The photo is part of a series promoting a campaign called Give Up Clothes For Good which is now celebrating its 10th anniversary with an exhibition of pictures. Celebrities photographed include Jerry Hall, Kate Winslet and Liam Neeson, among others. We're pretty sure Benedict's photo is going to draw the biggest crowd though.
