New Delhi: Singer Benny Dayal is excited to perform at the Global Citizen Festival India, which will have Coldplay headlining the concert along with Jay Z. He says it means a lot to him.

"Performing at this festival means a lot to me because there are so many musicians who have been and (have) become my heroes and inspirations," Benny told IANS.

The Badtameez Dil singer will be performing with musical group Medieval Punditz and musician Karsh Kale.

They have "been inspiring me musically for a decade or more now," Benny said.

The 32-year-old also added that rapper Jay Z has been an inspiration to him.

"Jay Z has been an inspiration to me because of his musical success and his capability to just walk into the studio and record a song without even having to write his lyrics on a piece of paper, and of course having the pleasure to be performing on the same stage as Jay Z and Coldplay. It doesn't get any better," he said.

Other celebrities who will also be part of the concert on November 19 event are Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, A R Rahman, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Dia Mirza, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Monali Thakur and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar.

The Ude Dil Befikre singer is happy that his mentor AR Rahman will also be at the event.
