Ryan Murphy asked Bette while she was on stage for the God's Love We Deliver Golden Hearts Awards event in New York City.

But it seems, Bette Midler, 66, already has some ideas and thinks she could be the grandmother of Rachel Berry, who is played by Lea Michele.
She tweeted: "I have one vote for Rachel's grandmother."
Bette Medler is not the only star to sign up for the show as American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will also have a recurring role.
