The makers of Bhindi Baazaar Inc have decided to postpone the May 20 release of the movie to avoid clash with other films at the box office.
The Ankush Bhatt directed film, starring actors like Kay Kay Menon, Deepti Naval, Prashant Narayanan, Shilpa Shuklaand Caterina Lopez, will now release on June 10.
The release of the film, produced by London-based company Picture Thoughts Production, had to be pushed back because of the IPL and the rush of films releasing in themonth of May.
The film, which was slated to release on May 20, wouldhave faced competition from six other films like Pyaar KaPunchnama, 404, Bol, Chillar Party, Kashmakash and Pankaj Kapoor starrer Happi.
"Bhindi Baazaar Inc while being a niche screenplayalso has the street spicy flavour for a wider audience. Thisis not a flamboyant star studded film and thus needs innovativemarketing and efficient publicity push. With reference to theefforts gone in the film, I would want the film to get itsdeserved audience," producer Karan Arora said.
The film revolves around gangs in Mumbai, who haveembraced pickpocketing as an art and means of earning theirlivelihood.
"While we postponed the release we made sure that weutilise the time; we also got to complete the promotional songwith Caterina Lopez, which is a remix of Akkad Bakkad,"adds the producer.
