New Delhi:
Actress Bhumi Pednekar, who is basking in the success of two back-to-back hits - Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan - says that she is 'married to her work.' Speaking to Hindustan Times, Bhumi Pednekar opened up about dating 'dated many guys.' She said: "In all honesty, I was a child, so immature and naive. Everything was so frivolous and I'm not a bitter person. I'm friends with all my exes, as they were all friends. I feel these are the experiences that turn into the person you are." So what's her relationship status now? "I am single. There's no excitement apart from my work. I haven't worked with many co-stars, so no rumours also. You can say I'm married to my work at this moment," Bhumi told Hindustan Times.
Bhumi Pednekar also said that she's "not against being in a relationship" but as of now she's "content with her work." She told HT: "I'm in a very good phase right now and I've not compromised on any aspect of my life."
So far, Bhumi Pednekar has only worked with Akshay Kumar and Ayushmann Khurrana. The 28-year-old actress told HT that it doesn't matter to her if she dates someone from her profession in future. "Your partner needs to have a lot more (qualities) than what he does (for a living). His core is something I need to connect with." She added that there's no pressure from her family to get married anytime soon. "Fortunately, I come from a family where we were told 'you are not getting married till you are successful'," she said.
Bhumi Pednekar will reportedly be seen in Abhishek Chaubey's next film.
