Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Bipasha Basu today greeted their fans in Marathi on Gudi Padwa - Maharashtrian new year day.
"Shant niwant shishir sarala, salsalata hirwa vasant aala. Kokilechya suravatee sobat, chitra Padwa dari aala Nutan Varshabhinandan (winter has passed, spring is here with Padwa, happy new year)," Bachchan wrote on twitter.
Bipasha said, "Gudi Padwyachya Hardik Shubhecha. Happy new year."
"Happy Gudi Padva.. good wishes for the new year in Maharashtra and good harvesting ...!!" Bachchan further said, extending Ugadi and Navreh greetings to his Kannadiga and Kashmiri fans too.
Actor Rahul Bose said, "A Gudi was created as a commemoration to victory & prosperity. We've just had the former, so - happy gudi padwa with a wish for the latter. "
Riteish Deshmukh said, "Happy Gudi Padwa. Happy Ugadi.- prosperous new year guys."
Ajay Devgn too wished his Maharashtrian fans, saying "happy gudi".
