New Delhi:
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he is proud that India took the second position at the Commonwealth Games by winning a total of 101 medals.
India's medal tally read an impressive 38 gold, 27 silver and 36 bronze.
"As we watch the closing of the Commonwealth Games, we cannot but admire the immense thrust forward this nation has taken. To come out victorious in the second position among all the Commonwealth countries is no mean achievement," Amitabh posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com.
"Seeing the joy of victory and achievement among our own is the most wondrous site ever," he added.
"Well done India! May you move forward with similar grit and strength, to greater heights, higher achievements and unmistakable presence. Sport has become our instigator for greater value and presence. It has given us a distinct and respectable identity, one that had not been so forthcoming ever."
