Bhopal: Amitabh Bachchan who is shooting for director Prakash Jha's film Aarakshan in Bhopal, will recite his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poems at a special programme tomorrow.

"The students at the college (run by the Institute) where we were shooting were most cooperative and I thought as a gesture of my appreciation, I would give them an evening of Kavya Paath, Amitabh wrote on his blog.

"I need to prepare for the recital of my father's works. I need to rehearse. I need to get it correct," he said.

In the blog-post, Amitabh also referred to Madhya Pradesh government's controversial move to rename Bhopal as Bhojpal, endorsing it indirectly.

"There is a move in this city to christen it as Bhojpal, instead of present Bhopal. Bhojpal was apparently its original name, a name it got from the great warrior king, Raja Bhoj. A thousand years have passed and the city celebrates his stature and contribution as not just a valiant ruler, but one that excelled in literature and the arts and culture too,"  Amitabh has written.
