New Delhi:
Actor Gaurav Chopra's played a pretty subtle game so far in controversial reality show Bigg Boss 10. He's been involved in minimal altercations and has been in other contestants' good book in general. But after Saturday night's Weekend Ka Vaar with Salman Khan, things seems to have changed as in an unexpected turn of events Gaurav found himself seated on the Khalnayak's chair, which is reserved for the worst person of the week. Swami Om had occupied the spot last two weeks and almost scored a hattrick when Lopamudra Raut suggested Gaurav's name for the chair.
Lopamudra's reason is just one: Gaurav's 'I don't give a damn' attitude towards Manveer Gurjar during the captaincy task which aired on December 2. Both Manveer and Gaurav were asked to paint a canvass with yellow and blue colour respectively and the winner would be the person who covers maximum area. Manveer quickly paints more than half of the canvass yellow while Gaurav takes his time. But after completing a small portion left by Manveer, Gaurav encroached on his opponent's area saying nothing's said about colouring over the other's paint. Manveer started painting aggressively on the canvas wherever Gaurav tried to put a mark and injured himself during the scuffle. Gaurav without diverting from the task continues painting. Bigg Boss however ended the task there are asked Manveer to get his forehead stitched by a doctor in the confession room.
While the doctor patched up Manveer, other housemates - Monalisa, Nitibha Kaul and Lopamudra in lead - discussed Gaurav's behaviour which they categorised as inhuman and unexpected. Lopamudra gave the same reason to Salman for nominating Gaurav to the Khalnayak's chair. Later Manveer and Gaurav caught up on the situation and Manveer also congratulated Gaurav saying he played well. But Guarav said he did not want to win like this. Gaurav offered to pass the captaincy to Manveer, who said that it won't be fair. Gaurav then suggested that Manveer could call the shots and he would do as he said if other thought he won by deceit. But none of his suggestions were taken up.
As of now Bigg Boss is hosting 12 members Manveer Gurjar, Lopamudra Raut, Rohan Mehra, Gaurav Chopra, Monalisa, Sahil Anand, Priyanka Jagga, Nitibha Kaul and VJ Bani are safe from elimination while Rahul Dev, Jason Shah and Elena Kazan are not. Manu Punjabi and Swami Om were made to leave the show due to personal reasons. According to an Indian Express report, Manu had to leave due to his mother's death while Swami Om had to appear before a Delhi court in connection with the lawsuit filed by his brother.
