Bigg Boss 10: Salman Khan and wild card entries on the show
New Delhi:
Bigg Boss 10's Weekend Ka Vaar, which aired on Sunday, was nothing short of a dhamakedaar episode. Salman Khan's announcement that there will be no eviction this week was soon followed by a surprise, much undesired by the housemates - wild card entries. Priyanka Jagga, who was the first contestant to be eliminated from the reality show, completes the team of wild card entries. She joins Team Indiawale in the house. The rest of the new entrants international supermodel Jason Shah, Russian model-actor Elena Kazan and Indian actor Sahil Anand will strengthen team celebs. Currently, Bigg Boss has 14 participants divided in two teams - Celebs and Indiawale. Rahul Dev, Gaurav Chopra, Lopamudra Raut, Rohan Mehra, Monalisa, VJ Bani, Elena Kazan, Sahil Anand and Jason Shah make up team celebs while Manu Punjabi, Manveer Gurjar, Nitibha Kaul, Swami Om and Priyanka Jagga make team Indiawale.
The wild card entries were introduced in style - the contestants met the new members standing on the other side of a shattered glass wall following an explosion. However, the twist is each wild card contestant also have to challenge a contestant of their choice to ensure a place in the Bigg Boss house.
Actress Vidya Balan entered the house as Lamhon Ke Rasgulle played on to inspect the completion of a task she had assigned to the housemates earlier. The Bigg Boss contestants were to stage a mimicry act - Manu and Manveer impersonate VJ Bani whereas Rahul, Bani and Gaurav cracked up by enacting Manu, Manveer and Swami Om as they behaved in the lock-down task. Meanwhile, Manu and Manveer were given a situational query by Vidya. She asked what happens if both of them reach the finale? Well, the duo plan to split the prize and trophy - the winning amount goes to Manveer while Manu gets to have the trophy. Vidya introduces another game in the form of a task, in which the contestants have to be on a pedestal while others would attribute a quality to the one in spotlight and label it as good or bad. It was not a very enjoyable experience for VJ Bani while Lopamudra was completely in control of herself.
Previously on Saturday, the wild card entries were introduced to the audience but the episode took a turn on Weekend Ka Vaar on Saturday when Salman was offended by Swami Om's behaviour. He has been unanimously voted for the Khalnayak chair after he created a ruckus in the Bigg Boss house in the episode aired on November 25, which compelled everyone to boycott the self-styled godman. Swami Om attacked Rohan on personal grounds but when asked to introspect, he went on defending himself. Salman was prompted to say: "You can keep talking, Swami Om." As Salman turned away, other housemates rebuke Swami Om for misbehaving with the actor.
