Bigg Boss 10: Swami Om in a still from the show
New Delhi:
It seems Swami Om was not inaccurate when he said on last night's episode of Bigg Boss 10 that the world outside is chanting his name. Swami Om, who made an emergency exit on Sunday night's episode, returned after a day. His 'homecoming' was aired on the last part of the episode dated December 5. We ran a poll n Twitter, asking users for their opinion on Swami Om's re-entry and most of those who responded said that Swami Om's second innings should be "entertaining." Twitter, with 73 per cent votes in favour of Swami Om, is thrilled by his return, unlike many of the other contestants. Priyanka Jagga and Jason Shah, however, were quite happy to have Swami Om back in the house.
Here are a few reactions to Swami Om's re-entry:
And reactions from the small 27 per cent group:
Swami Om was made to leave the house as he had to appear before a Delhi court in connection with a lawsuit filed against him by his brother. Bigg Boss, however, did not explain the situation to the housemates and therefore it shocked many. After Swami Om's exit, when Salman Khan (who hosts the weekend episode) asked them how it felt to live in the Swami Om-less house, Lopamudra Raut and Nitibha Kaul promptly said: "Calm and quiet."
When Swami Om returned last night, not many of his housemates were thrilled, save two. Priyanka Jagga, who was nominated for elimination on the ground of being the weak performer, hugged him and sobbed inconsolably. Jason Shah, who is one of the wild card entries, was also happy to see him. Gaurav Chopra, Bani, Rahul Dev and Rohan Mehra also greeted Swami Om, but ite was clear from their expressions that they were more confused than happy.
In December 5 episode, Manu Punjabi also exited the house to attend his mother's funeral, which shattered Monalisa and Manveer Gurjar, though they do not yet know the reason for Manu's emergency exit. Both Manveer and Monalisa were disappointed as they were expecting to see Manu instead of Swami Om. Manveer said: "Sahi bandhe ko to laye nahi Bigg Boss, ye kaha se aagaya." Rahul and Manveer openly poked fun at the fact that this is Swami Om's second re-entry and it's not like a game for him at all.
When the Swami entered the house, he announced that he's a huge success outside and the audience really loves him. He recounted his journey to Delhi and back and how his fans were keen to get one look of the self-styled godman. Swami Om also appealed to his fans to keep Priyanka safe from elimination.
Swami Om has so far earned the reputation of morally policing the housemates, something that nobody has welcomed. He's often pulled up for personal attacks and uncalled for accusations directed towards others. Swami Om has so far upset Monalisa, Lopamudra Raut and Nitibha Kaul with his misogynistic views and has also fought with Rahul Dev and Rohan Mehra.
As of now, Boss Boss is hosting 12 contestants out of which seven are nominated for this week's elimination. Priyanka Jagga, Sahil Anand, Bani, Rohan Mehra, Nitibha Kaul, Manveer Gurjar and Lopamudra will fight to continue their journey on the show. Swami Om, Monalisa, Rahul Dev, Gaurav Chopra and Jason Shah are safe.
