New Delhi:
So much drama on Bigg Boss 11 and yet the reality show is nowhere in the top-watched television shows' list, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India's latest report. Between October 4 and October 20, television shows Kumkum Bhagya and its spin-off Kundali Bhagya ruled the TRPs game, with Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 rounding off the list of Top 5 shows in the Hindi General Entertainment category. As per a Hindustan Times report, BARC ranked Bigg Boss 11 below the 20th spot. However, Colors TV (the channel which airs Bigg Boss 11) ranked #5 in the list of Top 10 channels in the Hindi General Entertainment category.
Bigg Boss 11 kicked off on October 1 with a huge fight even before the contestants' entry into the house. Actress Shilpa Shinde, who quit Bhabi Ji Ghar par Hain alleging mental harassment on the producers' part, found herself face-to-face with one of the show's producers, Vikas Gupta. They fought incessantly once inside the house but Shilpa appeared to have softened a bit after Vikas Gupta broke down after the first week.
Almost a month later, many interpersonal relationships have changed and tweaked. Shilpa Shinde and Arshi Khan, who started off as best of friends (two against the rest), are constantly feuding. Akash Dadlani, who once rapped jovial songs, now uses his talent to write insulting lyrics (especially for Hina Khan). Puneesh Sharma and Bandgi Kalra's romance is also not helping generate TRPs for the show. Some contestants like Hiten Tejwani are playing smart being diplomatic while Sapna Choudhary, Mahjabi Siddiqui and Luv Tyagi lose their cool from time to time and slam the others, sparing no abuses. In last night's episode, Hina Khan and Dhinchak Pooja broke down after much melodrama.
