In 1997, veteran actress Simi Garewal began hosting the celebrity chat show Rendezvous With Simi Garewal and created a paradigm shift in how we saw India's biggest public figures. The show lasted for five seasons and the interviews continue to be relevant today. Now, Simi Garewal is returning for another rendezvous, this time with the contestants of Bigg Boss 16. She will be seen in the upcoming episode of the show and will interact with the housemates, asking them fun questions. In the promo shared, the actress is dressed in her iconic all-white look in a pristine white set, perched on a chair, looking elegant as always.
As part of her interaction with housemates, Simi Garewal asks Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary what she would choose between stardom and unconditional love. To this, Priyanka says, “I would choose love.” Then Simi Garewal tells Shalin Bhanot that he has two plates in front of him – one with chicken and the other with Tina and asks what he would pick. To this, Shalin says, “Anything but Tina,” hinting that everything is not fine between the two.
To this, Simi Garewal says, “Please, don't be hard on him,” mimicking what Shalin Bhanot said to Salman Khan when the superstar was scolding Tina Datta. For the unversed, when Salman Khan was grilling Tina, Shalin mumbled, “Please, don't be hard on her,” much to the amusement of the actor and the shock of fellow housemates.
The caption on the promo video says, “16 saal mein pehli baar hoga Simi Garewal ke saath rendezvous (For the first time in 16 years, there will be a rendezvous with Simi Garewal).”
In the last episode, Tina Datta's mom told her that Shalin Bhanot's feelings were not sincere. Similarly. Shalin's mother too tells him that Tina has been taking him for a ride and that she is responsible for his fallout with Sumbul.
Last week saw Tina Datta accusing Shalin Bhanot of being aggressive. Shalin argues that he has always supported her. However, Tina says that he reminds her of an abusive ex-boyfriend. “You made false promises and you remained aggressive. I was in a relationship for over 5 years. He was also an aggressive man and you are acting in the same way. I cannot stay in an aggressive relationship or even a friendship. If we are bringing out the worst in each other, do you think this relationship is worth it?"
This week, family members of the contestants were seen on the show. Bigg Boss 16 is available for viewing on Colors TV from Monday to Friday at 10 PM. The weekend episodes, which also include Salman Khan's Weekend Ka Vaar, air at 9.30 PM. It can be streamed on Voot Select.
