New Delhi:

The very first “Sunday Ka Vaar” episode of Bigg Boss OTT was all things “over the top”. From tears, arguments to laughter and special performances, the show had a bit of everything. And, the icing on the cake came in the form of host Karan Johar who was seen schooling and praising the contestants for the performance in the first week of the show. Karan was quick to catch on to the various throwaway comments that contestants made during the past week and grilled them on the same. On top of the list was model Divya Agarwal, who was heard saying that she does not need the show.

During his interaction with the contestants, Karan tells Divya, “Tell me, Divya ma'am, if you don't need the show, then why you are here. Yeh Bigg Boss ka ghar hai (This is the Bigg Boss house), this is no party. You are all playing a game, let's get that straight.” He also adds, “Aap ki saath din ke journey mei samajh nahi aaya hai ki aapka agenda kya hai (One has not been able to figure out your agenda from your journey so far)." He also taunted her for claiming that she knew all about reality shows.

Karan was also seen schooling Divya for saying that she was unaware that contestants would be paired up, asking her whether she should have been a part of the creative brainstorming. He even tagged Divya and Pratik Sehajpal as “sasta version of Vikas Gupta and Shilpa Shinde." Vikas and Shilpa are former contestants of the reality show who were known to be loggerheads.

“I respect what you say,” Divya responded to Karan and explained that she did not need the show but wanted to be part of the show. She also added that every contestant has made unsavoury comments on the show.

Meanwhile, responding to the ongoing tension between Shamita Shetty and Divya, Shamita said, “I really don't care.” To this, Karan said, “I will not care about you if you don't care about yourself and the show.” In a clip shared by Voot, Shamita can then be seen wiping away her tears.

In addition to the interaction between Karan Johar and the contestants, former Bigg Boss heartthrobs Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla also entertained the audiences with a special performance. At the end of the first episode, actress Urfi Javed became the first contestant to be eliminated from the show.
