Most tasks in the Bigg Boss OTT house end in fights and arguments. The new debate task that the contestants found themselves in was no different. This time, contestants were asked to pick a fellow housemate and engage in a debate over an observation that they had made about their counterpart. And, it came as no surprise that there were disagreements galore once the task began. For instance, Shamita Shetty and Nishant Bhat got into a heated argument after Nishant alluded to the fact that Shamita Shetty had not shied away from showing her personality strongly on the show.
Shamita Shetty, on her part, did not agree to his accusation. In a video shared by Voot on Instagram, Nishant is seen saying, “You have a beautiful personality par mujhe woh abhi bhi, yeh season mei, game mei nahi dikh raha hai [But I cannot see that personality in the game].”
To this, Shamita asks, “Aap iss hi game mei ho na [You too are in this game only right?],” adding that she has been vocal and forthright with her opinions since the first day of the show. Shamita added that she may not be as loud as Nishant but she has been a strong contestant.
Shamita Shetty further said that she does not believe that one has to change to survive on the show. As they talk over each other, Nishant Bhat tells Shamita, “Agar aap khud ko change nahi kar sakte ho toh aap kisi ke upar judgement bhi nahi daal sakte (If you cannot change yourself then you should not sit in judgement of others).” Ignoring Nishant, Shamita said that she has made it to the finals on her own.

The task, however, was cancelled as Raqesh Bapat did not give his opinion on the first two debates making it impossible to pick a winner. The debate task was followed by a surprise mid-week eviction, which saw singer Neha Bhasin leave the show. Her eviction left the singer's friends Pratik Sehajpal and Shamita Shetty in a state of shock.
With her elimination, Raqesh Bapat, Shamita Shetty, Divya Agarwal, Nishant Bhat and Pratik Sehajpal will compete to win the first season of Bigg Boss OTT. The finale is scheduled for September 18.
