New Delhi:

His world is good, bad, ugly and very bloody. The trailer of Shahid Kapoor's upcoming film Bloody Daddy released on Wednesday and it is everything you will expect it to be - dark, intense and gory. The trailer begins with a flashback sequence of Ronit Roy reminding Shahid Kapoor to return him his bag of cocaine and take back his belonging in return (without elaborating much). Shahid Kapoor does as he is told or at least he pretends to. Rajeev Khandelwal and Diana Penty are hellbent on stopping Shahid Kapoor from his mission. Not because they are enemies but because they work for the good forces. Shahid Kapoor does return the aforementioned bag to the concerned members. There's only a (not so small) twist. The bag contains flour, not cocaine. One man, one job and one hell of a journey and lots of blood - that is the Bloody Daddy trailer for you.

Sharing the trailer on social media, Shahid Kapoor wrote in his caption, "One hell of a bloody night...Trailer out now! Bloody Daddy. Watch Bloody Daddy On Jio Cinema, streaming free on 9th June."

The film has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and it has been produced by Jyoti Deshpande. The film is slated to release on June 9 on Jio Cinema.

In terms of work, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Raj and DK's crime thriller series Farzi. Before that, he featured in the sports drama Jersey, in which he played the role of a cricketer. The original film was made in Telugu and it stars Nani in the lead role. The actor will also be seen in an untitled romantic film with Kriti Sanon.

Shahid Kapoor is best-known for his performances in films such as Udta Punjab, Haider, Jab We Met, "Padmaavat" and Ishq Vishk and the 2019 hit Kabir Singh, co-starring Kiara Advani, to name a few.
