Veteran social activist AnnaHazare's fast-unto-death against corruption has found moresupportive voices in Bollywood with celebrities like HrithikRoshan, Vishal Bhardwaj and Amol Gupte joining in thecampaign.
Hrithik, who is shooting for Agnipath remake inMumbai, tweeted his support.
"I support Anna Hazare. Its TIME to make a CHANGE,"tweeted Hrithik, who is shooting for 'Agnipath' here.
Superstar Aamir Khan has already written a letter toPrime Minister Manmohan Singh, requesting him to considerHazare's demands.
The 72-year-old activist is on a hunger strikedemanding the government to draft a new Lokpal Bill, whichwill give more powers to Ombudsman to check corruption.Filmmakers Shekhar Kapur, Juhi Chawla, MadhurBhandarkar and Anupam Kher have already backed Hazare.Bhandarkar today met Hazare at Jantar-Mantar toexpress his solidarity.
"The whole film industry is with Annaji. This is thevoice of every common man, I am here to support his struggleagainst corruption," said 'Fashion' director.Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj and actor-director AmolGupte too batted for Hazare.
"All the corrupt leaders should be thrown out. This isthe time of revolution," Vishal said.
Gupte, best known for his role of an corruptpolitician in 'Kaminey', echoed Vishal.
"I went without my lunch yesterday to support the oldman. Whenever there is some sense in a person one has to stopand listen to it and follow the lead," Gupte added.
"I'm so glad that this issue has been taken up sostrongly by him...The fact that he has taken this step isreally made us wake up and say yes, we support it," Juhi said.
