Bollywood pays last respects to Yash Chopra at prayer meet

Mumbai: Bollywood celebrities on Thursday paid their respects to legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra who died on October 21. The chautha ceremony, the fourth day ritual after the cremation, was held at the Yash Raj Studios.

Many Bollywood celebs were present. Among them: Amitabh Bachchan, aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Jitendra, Gulzar, Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Boney Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Kirron Kher, Sonakshi Sinha, Milan Luthria, Farah Khan, Anushka Sharma, Pankaj Udhas, Ashutosh Gowariker, Javed Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Juhi Chawla, Zoya Akhtar, Ameesha Patel, Madhur Bhandarkar and Ramesh Taurani.

Yash Chopra gave romance a new meaning with films like Daag, Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni, and Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara and his own favourite Lamhe.

Before his death, he was busy shooting for Jab Tak Hai Jaan with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. He had completed the entire schedule, except for a song.

The film is slated for release Diwali, November 13.
