It's that time of the year when chosen representatives from the film industry select India's official entry to the Oscars. Like in the previous years, the jury has once again decided to meet in Hyderabad instead of Mumbai, to avoid what is best described as 'Bollywood arm twisting.'

However sources say that there is intense lobbying for Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider, Rajkumar Hirani's PK, Anurag Kashyap's Ugly and Umang Kumar's Mary Kom to make the cut.
In the past few years, there has been disagreement between the jury's choice and what the film industry - read Bollywood - feels is the best choice. Hope this year they find common ground.
