American singer-songwriter MichaelBolton has collaborated with Grammy award winning musiccomposer AR Rahman for his latest album Gems - The DuetsCollection.
The new album, to be released on June 21 on Sony music,will feature productions by acclaimed songwriters, producersand musicians including David Foster, Dann Huff, Rudy Perez,besides Rahman.
"The opportunity to work with legendary talent like DavidFoster, Dan Huff, A R Rahman and some of the absolute greatestsingers and recording artists in the entire world wasinspiring. I can't wait to share the special music we allcreated with the world," Bolton said in a statement.
Oscar winning Indian composer Rahman's song Sajna fromCouples Retreat will be part of the album.
"When I first met Michael, we got to talking about music,philosophy, the universe and many things that we had incommon," shares Rahman. "I wanted Michael to do a bit ofsinging that he's never done before, without compromising onhis musicality."
Gems - The Duets Collection also includes musicalcollaborations with Grammy award-winning American band RascalFlatts, international pop star Seal, Australian singingsensation Delta Goodrem, and famed late vocalist Eva Cassidy.
