Ranbir and Anushka in a poster from Bombay Velvet
New Delhi:
Bombay Velvet, Anurag Kashyap's ambitious period crime drama, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, continues its downward spiral at the box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who had earlier pronounced the film a 'disaster', tweeted the latest figures.
Meanwhile, Shoojit Sircar's Piku continues to win hearts and is all set to cross the 50-crore mark.
Bollywood, which has had a dismal first-quarter thus far - barring the year's biggest opener Gabbar Is Back - now pegs its hopes to Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns, the sequel to the 2011 hit romantic comedy, which hits theatres on May 22.
