London: Oscar-winner Javier Bardem says henever believed he would star in a James Bond.
The 43-year-old portrays the role of Raoul Silva in thelatest instalment "Skyfall", and he said that it was hischildhood dream to star in the British spy series, reportedSun online.
"I'm a huge fan of the James Bond saga, so I was alwaysvery open to the idea. When I was little I watched Mr Connerydoing James Bond with my father. Who in the world would thinkI'd be in one of those movies?" he said.
Bardem, who has previously won an Oscar for his role in"No Country for Old Men", was even allowed to have aninfluence on the character as director Sam Mendes was so keento have him play the part.
"The script was everything you could expect in James Bondfilms, and in addition it was a powerful and complex story.Sam had changed the whole dynamic of the baddie role, so Silvais not just a villain in the usual and obvious way," he added.
