Boney Kapoor has made fans nostalgic (again). The filmmaker has dropped a throwback gem on Instagram, featuring his late wife and legendary actress Sridevi. Bonus: Their daughter Janhvi and Khushi.
The post traces back to when Sridevi attended the premiere of English Vinglish in Tokyo, Japan. Boney Kapoor, alongside Janhvi and Khushi, accompanied her. FYI: English Vinglish marked Sridevi's comeback to the big screen after a long hiatus. Read all about it here.
The opening frame showcases Sridevi and Boney Kapoor sharing a candid moment. Her million-dollar smile is unmissable. She looks ravishing in a red dress. Boney Kapoor complements her in a white suit.
Sridevi and her daughters embrace Japanese culture by wearing kimonos (traditional Japanese clothing). Trust us, you do not want to miss their lovely group photo.
Sharing the carousel, Boney Kapoor wrote, “Jaaaapaaan….‘LOVE in TOKYO ' Our Tokyo visit for the premiere of English Vinglish. Then Indian Ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa & wife of the then prime minister late Shinzo Abe.”
Directed by Gauri Shinde, English Vinglish was released in 2012. Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou, Navika Kotia and Shivansh Kotia were also part of it.

Last year in August, Boney Kapoor shared a monochrome picture from the sets of Mr India. Joining Boney Kapoor in the photo session were: Sridevi, Anil Kapoor, Baba Azmi and Shekhar Kapur. "January 5, 1985. Just before the first-day shoot Mr India,” the caption read.
Boney Kapoor and Sridevi got married in 1996. The couple welcomed Janhvi in 1997. They became proud parents to Khushi in 2000. Sridevi died due to accidental drowning in February 2018 in Dubai.
