- A book and DVD containing the biography of Tamil film actor, late Gemini Ganesan, would be released here on November 21 to mark his 90th birth anniversary celeberations.

- Born on 17 November 1920, Gemini, in his film career spanning over five decades, has acted in more than 200 films (mostly Tamil), including a few in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. He died on March 22, 2005.
- In his long career, he paired with many top heroines such as Savitri, Anjalidevi, Banumathi, Padmini, Saroja Devi, Vaijayanthimala, "Sowcar" Janaki, KR Vijaya, Devika, and
- Jayalalithaa.
- Gemini was awarded the Padma Shri in 1971.
