Chennai: If everything goes as per plan, Diganth and Aindrita Ray starrer Paarijaatha is all set to hit the silver screen shortly. Its muhurat function was held in December 2010 and shooting commenced last January.
Diganth and Aindritha Ray have high hopes for Paarijaatha since their films bombed at the box office. Producer Paramesh expectations too are high for 'Paarijaatha' since his earlier film 'Jeeva' crashed at the box office beyond redemption.
"Jeeva was released at the wrong time. I had to release that film without publicity due to some reasons. I do not want the same thing to happen to my latest film Paarijaatha. I will release it after ensuring right publicity at the right time," says Paramesh.
The shooting of Paarijaatha was held in Mysore, Chikmagalur and Banglore for 58 days. The prudent thing is that the producer did not follow other producers who prefer foreign locations to shoot song sequences at the drop of a hat. "The songs were picturised in and around Chikmagalur. Paarijaatha will be the first Kannada film to have song sequence shot in the rain and mist, in the vicinity of Chikmagalur," says Paramesh.
Paarijaatha is a re-make of Tamil flick Boss Engira Baskaran. It is directed by Prabhu Srinivas who had handled megaphone for Prajwal Devaraj's film Jeeva. Srinivas was basically a choreographer and made his debut as a director with film Jeeva. Paarijatha is his second film as a director and it is quite natural for him to expect it to become a huge success at the box office. The film has Sharan, Mukhayamantri Chandru, Sadhu Kokila, Ramji and Achyuth in the star cast. Kaadhal Dandapani has played villain role in this film while Guru Kiran has provided the music.
"Dandapani had played the role of a villain in Upendra's film Super. He did a good job in Paarijaatha," adds the producer.
