Box office fate should not judge success of a film: Vinay Pathak

Vinay Pathak said media has a greater role to play in educating audience about cinema.

  • Actor Kabir Bedi said the nature of media itself is changing. "There is a whole new vista that has opened up in the form of television and internet," he said.
  • Through broadband, every computer screen in households can be turned into a silver screen. "Spend the money in dubbing the film and put it on mediums like youtube," he advised.
  • The actor also said the people with similar interests can form community groups on the internet and view films, without physically coming together.
  • "With this, all kinds of films will find a place on internet and filmmakers will also find audience," he added.
