Hollywood star Brad Pitt, whoproposed to longtime partner Angelina Jolie earlier this year,said they haven't set a wedding date yet.
"We actually, really and truly, have no date," Pitt saidat the Cannes Film Festival Tuesday.
The 48-year-old actor had earlier said that he would tiethe knot with Jolie after every couple in the world had thelegal right to do so and it seems Pitt is keen on keeping hisword, reported Us magazine.
"It's just something that makes sense to us, andcertainly date-wise, it's just a rumour. We're still hopingthat we can figure out marriage equality in the states beforethat date," he said.
Pitt asked Jolie to be his wife with a tablet-shapeddiamond ring, estimated at 16 carats. It was the couple'seldest son, Maddox, 10, who encouraged Pitt to take theplunge.
Though Pitt and his bride-to-be typically attend theCannes Film Festival together, Jolie was missing in actionthis year.
"She's actually not here right now. She's prepping for amovie she starts very soon," Pitt explained. Jolie beginsshooting Maleficent this summer.
When asked if he'd ever star in another movie with hisfuture wife, Pitt -- who met Jolie on the set of Mr & MrsSmith while still married to Jennifer Aniston -- responded,"Yeah, we'd love to."
