If you have not seen Rasha Thadani dancing to Uyi Amma while scrolling through social media, you might just be missing out. Raveena Tandon's daughter is in full swing promoting her Bollywood debut Azaad, which also introduces Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan to the silver screen.
On Friday, Rasha Thadani posted a video with one of Bollywood's favourite couples – Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma.
In the clip, Rasha Thadani is seen grooving to Uyi Amma with Tamannaah Bhatia. Their fun chemistry is too good to miss. Vijay Varma, being his quirky self, makes a surprise appearance toward the end of the clip.
“Have u booked your tickets for Azaad yet?,” Rasha Thadani asked in her caption.
Veer Pahariya, who is also set to make his Bollywood debut with Sky Force, reacted to the post. He wrote, “Heroine no 1.” Pragya Kapoor said, “Love it!!!”
Azaad made its grand debut in cinemas on January 17. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film features an impressive cast, including Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan in pivotal roles.
In an NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Azaad 1.5 out of 5 stars. He wrote, “A sloppy amalgamation of a rustic Romeo & Juliet, a poor man's Lagaan and a watered-down Hidalgo that runs its two-and-a-half-hour course without an iota of horse sense, Azaad canters around aimlessly in search of pace and points that it could make about class and gender oppression, poverty and rebellion.”
He added, “The weak and disjointed screenplay stymies the efforts of the two newcomers, Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani and Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan, to make an impression. They are enthusiastic enough to want to rise above the cinematic freefall that Azaad is, but they aren't provided with the tools that they need for the purpose.”
Azaad is backed by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, with Abhishek Nayyar and Abhishek Kapoor serving as co-producers.
