Breakaway to premiere at Toronto Film Festival 2011
New Delhi: The world premiere of Indo-Canadian production Breakaway starring comedian Russell Peters, and Indian actor Anupam Kher will take place at the Toronto International Film Festival 2011.

The movie marks the debut of local lead actor, Vinay Virmani and also stars Hollywood actor Rob Lowe and is directed by Robert Lieberman of Dexter and X-files fame.

The film is a cross-cultural hockey drama set in the Indo-Canadian community in suburban Toronto. The action-filled sports comedy also brings a dash Canada's favourite sport hockey to Bollywood, the first film to do so since the successful Chak De! India.

The film's trailer was screened at recently and was met with a positive reaction from the local media.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and music artistes Drake, RDB and Ludacris also guest star in the movie, which will have a September 30 release.
