Los Angeles : Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg has promised that he won't kill off actor Harrison Ford's character in the upcoming film Indiana Jones V, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Mr Ford's character Han Solo died in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but Mr Spielberg has no such intentions with his film.
"I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans. The one thing I will tell you is I am not killing off Harrison (Ford) at the end of it," Mr Spielberg said.
Mr Spielberg said that he is "super excited" about the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film series, which is slated for a July 19, 2019 release in the US.
He is directing Indiana Jones V from a script by David Koepp (who wrote Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Jurassic Park). John Williams is expected to compose the music while Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will serve as producers.
