Rocker Bret Michaels hasundergone a successful surgery to to repair a hole in hisheart.
The Poison frontman went under the knife at the StJoseph's Hospital and Medical Centre in Phoenix, Arizona onMonday and is under observation currently, reported Peoplemagazine.
"Bret Michaels underwent a successful heart proceduretoday at St Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.Michaels is currently recuperating at St Joseph's where heremains for observation in ICU," said a representative of the47-year-old musician.
He was joined at the hospital by his fiancee KristiGibson. Michaels is expected to check out of hospital withinthe next few days and be allowed to continue his recovery fromhome.
The hole in his heart was discovered last May, afterMichaels suffered a mini-stroke.
That followed a series of scary health problemsearlier last spring, beginning with an emergency appendectomyin April, followed soon after by a life-threatening brainhemorrhage.
